Nikon D300 has a new firmware update (version 1.10) that solves a couple of bugs.
Make sure you don’t use this update with the D300s.
We update your cameras software for free as part of the cleaning and service. If you cannot get to NYC or just want to update your camera, then the link below will take you to the firmware page.
Note – Make sure you use a good, formatted card to upload the update. You must also make sure to use a full charged battery. Some of your user settings will be lost, so make a note of any thing important. You should also take a note of the last file/image number.
- Immediately after the camera’s A and B firmware is updated to Ver. 1.10, the ISO sensitivity settings > ISO sensitivity auto control> Minimum shutter speed setting will shift to a faster shutter speed.
- Settings data saved with A: firmware Ver. 1.03/ B firmware Ver. 1.03 or earlier using the Save/load settings option in the setup menu cannot be read by the D300 after A and B firmware are updated to Ver. 1.10.
- Microdrives cannot be used to perform this firmware upgrade.
- If the downloaded firmware will be copied to a Compact Flash memory card, do not use the Lexar Media JumpShot USB cable the firmware may not be upgraded correctly.
