British born photographer now based in New York. After time spent photographing travel and architecture, Mr. Christie moved into fashion photography working with designers and modelling agencies. Using his creative instinct, honed from years of work in art and sculpture, Mr. Christie creates visually strong images that capture the essence of the designs created. Mr. Christie has photographed in Argentina, Antarctica, Brazil, Italy, Morocco, France, Spain, and the UK, and is currently working with US-based companies, designers and fashion magazines.
He works as a technical consultant, advising professional photographers on the latest still cameras, lighting and gear. An expert on Nikon, Hasselblad and Phase One digital cameras, as well as color theory and fine art reproduction.
My workshops concentrate on getting the technical side of photography right, so you can then use those techniques to create strong visual images. Knowing how to use the right tool for the job at hand to make the photo you want.
